Would you join the National Socialists if "it" were happening right now?

I ponder this question after reading a few articles written in a, somewhat of an opinion magazine, as it's clearly not a newspaper.

Truth be told, if things are held in the right perspective, you could even apply some text to the here and now. How often have one of you not pondered the downsides of capitalism and the wrongdoing by countries like the US. I certainly have plenty. Of course that doesn't mean I'm a nazi or a communist, I'm just willing to weigh the alternatives to try and see if there are other ways to survive on this dying planet.

And so as I read a couple of paragraphs of this magazine, I could somehow see their trail of thought, emphatize even, but at the same time it smells of populism - try to say things in a way that people can say "he's right, that's true!" - of course forgetting about a few details that are quite relevant to the entire story.

Let's take a look at the following out of context, and let's "true that", because I did.
"Wij wisten dat het kapitalisme uit den tijd was. Het kent geen geestdrift, het heeft geen ziel. Het is de slaaf van het kasboek en van het reglement. Het kapitalisme weet niets van het leven maar het weet alles van effecten en van bankrekeningen. Wij kiezen het leven, het leven voor en van ons volk; wij strijden voor de grootsheid, de eenheid en de vrijheid der Nederlanden."

One might say "dude you just quoted something from a fucking nazi fucking propaganda, how can you fucking agree with that you fucking fascist asshole" - but hey, let's be honest here, anyone sane and intelligent will agree - especially after such money-centered crashes all around us - that kapitalism and it's consumption have their downsides that push the boundaries of our understanding and/or knowledge of what's right and wrong.

In any case, it's still propaganda, and you might wonder, how unimaginable you might find it from your current perspective and knowledge of the history - would you consider supporting the National Socialist movement if you didn't know the history books and would be in that point of time?

Questions to consider I think:
- Would you actually be aware, even after a few years, that jews were being deported for slavery and death? I personally cannot be sure, given the situation of lesser news sources and probably a limited to no amount of knowledge of jewish people in your area.
- Would you remember the invasion and occupation that was performed by the Germans in other countries and yours? I personally cannot imagine how you can't notice or not remember that.
- Would you know about the destruction and killings in various cities? Perhaps not, you might have missed it, but truth be told - unless you work on a farm with no radio and no other people around - I cannot imagine you missed it. I might be wrong of course, the news might've been delayed for a year max. until inhabitants of those cities had spread their awful news, but 4 years and not knowing?

Perhaps there's more to consider, I can't think of a lot at the moment.

But in the end, considering these things, would you even be considering to accept the following texts. They are of course ripped out of context, they are prepared with lot's of "yes that's true, he's right" texts, but also various other twisted, 180 degrees, texts you might agree with. Imagine yourself even saying "yes you're right" to a text declaring the allied army liberators a bad bunch of destructors of our beautiful city buildings as they throw grenades at the germans.

Somehow I still think, with these paragraphs, I'd say: "ho there wait a minute, you think the german army taking our food and giving us measly stamps for food is a good thing, and claim we'd be starving without the germans occupying our country? You think the allied came to start a war, while I distinctly saw the germans first?"

In the end, I'm thinking it might even be tricky to see through the propaganda. It's easy now because the magazine goes to far in their defensiveness and twists reality in their favor too obviously. But what if they wouldn't have made that mistake, would you consider? I fear, even in this age of a lot of communication streams, one might consider and say yes too soon.

Of course, we already have streams of media that propagate untruths and incomplete considerations. If you don't have some vital knowledge of the area that's being talked about, you're easier to accept what the media is telling you. And their lies a danger. Luckily we have multiple sources of information, and you'll probably hear or read both pro's and con's to various issues and newsfacts. All above else, it's still important to keep thinking with your own head instead of accepting what you're told. There's still a lot of shit going on, and we're just eating it like delicious chocolate cookies...

Gainax launched a project to create a movie ending for the series in 1997. The company first released Death and Rebirth, consisting of a highly condensed character-based recap and re-edit of the TV series episodes 1-24 (Death) and the first half of the new ending (Rebirth, which was originally intended to be the full ending, but couldn´t be finished due to budget and time constraints). The project to complete the final episodes was completed later in the year, and released as The End of Evangelion. The End of Evangelion is an alternate ending of the series and retells episodes 25 and 26. The End of Evangelion replaces the Rebirth portion of the first film Death and Rebirth. The two films were compiled as a single movie (the way they were originally intended to be), called Revival of Evangelion in 1998.

On September 9, 2006, Gainax confirmed a new animated film series called Rebuild of Evangelion, consisting of four movies to be released in 2007 and 2008 originally. However, only the first film was released in 2007, and the second in 2009. The first three movies will be an alternate retelling of the TV series (including new scenes, settings, backgrounds, characters), and the fourth movie will be a completely new conclusion to the story.[18] The first of the new movies was released in Japan on September 1, 2007 under the name Evangelion: 1.0 You Are (Not) Alone. Everyone's pussyfooting around when China is the topic of discussion. No government or company dares to stand up against them or simply only cares about the potential profits involved if they simply just do China's bidding.

Finally, after so many years, someone's standing up against China's disgusting censorship and control over the information their people can access. (let's not start about human rights and other criminal activities they perform year in year out)

The fact that it's a cold wintery winter, doesn't mean global warming is happening. (let's not go to the subject of whether its caused by man or not, we won't get to the answer anytime soon)

In my imaginary logic, and yes this is just plain guesswork since I'm no expert, but then again, who is? The fact that we had a warm summer and a very cold winter, only proves that extremes are occurring. Because just about everything on earth is a neverending equation that keeps balancing on a wobbly stick. If it's hot somewhere (large space between wobbly molecules floating up), it's bound to be very windy and cold elsewhere as the molecules try to be evenly spaced out on the planet.

In the 3rd year I think of our IT studies we got lessons in things like Oscillation. Things that oscillate throw most of their remaining energy into the opposite direction to compensate to achieve a nice quiet state without movement. You can't just "stop", because stopping means putting energy into moving the other direction, and depending on how much friction you'll have, it will oscillate and not simply stop.

So let's imagine we could put "weather" into a oscilloscope and watch it's movement. We'd probably see wide large amplitude oscillating signal, and the more energy we put into it when it arrives at the peak to descend, it will only get worse. If we put energy into the opposite direction as its still either rising or descending, we'll still see an oscillating pattern as "weather" tries to end up in that statistically impossible goal of reaching momentum at pt 0. And when I say impossible, I mean it's very unlikely it's ever going to happen. This is not because we ourselves put so much into moving this frequency. It's because there are quite a number of factors that influence the weather either one way or the other.

That said; climate, global warming? Probably somewhere in there. Climate is a measured long term pattern, so we can't say we suddenly have a different climate, that'll take some time to measure and prove. It's not relevant either, if you don't like you should move to another country, but don't go whiny if it's not all that you expected - and it won't.

Global warming? The last chart up to recent years seemed to be pretty clear about it that it's happening. With the recent observation of increase in sunspots however, who really can say for certain what's happening. With the data only going till the 1600's, who can really say it's either man influenced or not.

Does it matter? Maybe for people who want to know everything to write a nice essay about it. For me it's just one of those things to just take a stand at what you think is right and fair, and that doesn't include a plan to keep using fossil fuels and excessive chemical exhausts being burned and mixed around with those little molecules our lungs so fancy...

Once again, Fox has canceled one of Joss Whedon's shows; Dollhouse.
I could've seen it coming, but I was still hoping for the best.

Most people don't even get the show, and after reading several comments here and there it's obvious the brilliance of the idea behind the show is so unnoticed, I don't doubt that at some point in time reality will show its ugly face and make the show real.

Because that's what it was. It's a clear warning - that is, if people had actually been shown episode 13 of season one - which Fox conveniently denied airing.

Mind sweeping and tapping into the brain IS going to happen someday (if we don't kill ourselves first by either global warming or wars). And the question is what we're going to do with it. If we don't stop and think about the way we're going, we're going to build up a nice self-destructive scenario while blindfolding ourselves.

Even with this recession going on, no one out there is actually getting what's going on. People are blind for their own greed, their own selfish need for money and profit that they'll end up abusing everything that they can get their hands on.

It starts with innocent lies for a few bucks more, selling faulty equipment and denying the harmful effects, making sure a war gets support without mentioning you only care about the oil, etc. There are examples in plenty, and the more technology gets developed, people will end up abusing it for money, profits and power.

So there we go. But no, people think it's about a sick perverted man's daytime porno and whoring out chicks.

I guess I should be like, fuck it, let them fuck up humanity and hope they die of the mexican flu because their republican minds couldn't cope with the idea of sharing healthcare with their neighbors.

But is that fair to their children or childrens children?
Let's save the DVD's and show them to our kids when they're ready, and explain to them what humanity is like.

But alas, so consumed and pumped with adrenaline we forgot about the finite state of the animal population, sure we can stab another of our kind here and there, but its always a mess when some chick whines about the loss of a poor loser that didn't know how to properly mutilate a chicken. So eventually we run out of food and firewood, and we'll have to think of a strategy to prolong our fun. So we'll take the step of exploring the big scary world, off to the big city where the zoo's and pathetic human race harbors the most. We'll go stand and support our leader who asks a judge for his permission to continue our marvelous way of life, surely he can't resist the temptation either and most likely he'll want to join us in our magical quest for blood and perhaps a little booty with a bunny here and there. You may or may not have heard about our hyped-up issue of a certain bank called DSB in the Netherlands. People are uncertain where their money will go, unsure about their loans and mortgages - not to forget about the bank's employees and a lot of depending companies their employees - because the bank is about to go bankrupt unless another bank or the government rescues it out.

But let us go back a bit in time, to the point where we found out a lot of people with mortgages and loans got themselves into a situation of not paying attention to their contracts and forgot to think for themselves about whether or not they should put their signatures on a bunch of papers that involved them paying an extreme amount of cash to the bank.

Sure you might say they were ignorant and some might say they deserved to be screwed over and land in a dumpster. On the other hand, we're talking about something they could've brought under to another bank and suffered considerably less financial troubles.

It's fairly simple in the land of money, if you stumble against something that makes you more money without much harm, you do it and spread the word. Sooner or later it spreads and grows, and you'll end up over the border of scamming and trickery and you'll still get away with it.

But why was the bank there again? Right, to help people store their money in a safe place and help out other people or yourself to spread the costs of a large investment like a house to live in.

Let us compare that to the purpose the bank now holds to sell things to people to make extreme amounts of money that will go the benefit of those who are selling it and the owners of the bank that will get a nice house to live in and donate some stuff to people that don't really need it.

Do we really want this to be happening? Do we really want people to be screwing over others over money and continue the global trend to enlarge the gap between rich and poor?

So in truth, when a person decides to show himself on tv and publicly state people should withdraw their money from their DSB bank accounts, sure you may question if that's a wise decision. I know I certainly predicted people would actually do that. ([i]and lets remember here the inklylittle detail they are supposed to 'save' your money and not spend it on other things and should thus not fall if people withdraw their money[/i])

While we wait for the government to finally do something about this global issue, another way of looking at this is the following, and I think I rather like that thought in favor of feeling sorry:

Even more amazing is that this game was allegedly created in a 48 hour game making contest from scratch. As you can see from their website they made some quite similar games so far (Jump and Run like), so i doubt the guy(s?) really made this whole engine from scratch in 48 hours as he stated, but the whole thing was made using

- Game Maker 7
- Pro Motion 6
- Paint.NET
- SFXR
- Audacity

There are some graphical issues with some Gforce graphics cards btw.

Check it out and i think i must check out Game Maker 7 myself :o
